Since 2009, Aisha Khalid art practice has been deeply focused on spirituality, particularly through the Sufi path of loving God, which represents the essence of her religion. In her earlier works, the colors green and black symbolize her love and tribute. The creation process of her artwork, regardless of the medium, always involves a meditative aspect. For her, the act of making art is more significant than the final piece. Whether working with steel pins, painting, producing videos, or performing with Sufi music, repetition and meditative acts are integral to her process.

In in this commissioned project, she is creating four green tapestries arranged in a cube formation. Each tapestry features a green side with Islamic geomatric patterns and birds in flight, creating a dynamic visual effect. The reverse side of each tapestry is black, visible through narrow gaps between the tapestries, revealing gold and silver fur along with black velvet. This work draws inspiration from the fabric cover of the Kaaba and incorporates birds, specifically pigeons and Ababeel (Martin), which hold significant spiritual symbolism. Additionally, she will produce two to four miniature paintings that reflect the same green and black theme, honoring the tradition of miniature painting in Islamic art and its role in preserving history.
