“You Are the Universe in Ecstatic Motion” (2018) is inspired by Islamic eightfold geometric patterns and incorporates the artist’s signature geometric designs, which have evolved over the past 20 years. The piece features Kufic calligraphy of Quranic verses related to the theme of travel.

The gold geometric lines symbolize the concept of travel, connecting different elements of the design. The circular vortex patterns evoke a sense of perpetual motion, reflecting the continuous flow of life. The inspiration for this work emerged from the artist’s reflections on the experience of being in an airport, capturing the dynamic and transformative nature of movement and existence.
